Das gilt umso mehr, wenn die neue Stadt in einem anderen Land liegt. Denn oft spricht man am Anfang die Sprache noch nicht so richtig, kennt sich mit der B\u00fcrokratie noch nicht aus, man vermisst die Kultur des Herkunftslandes und hat noch keine sozialen Verbindungen. Selbst in einer so weltoffenen Stadt wie Frankfurt ist es da ein wahrer Segen, wenn man eine Anlaufstelle hat, die einem unter die Arme greift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Genau das tut <a href=\"https:\/\/www.francfortaccueil.de\/\">Francfort Accueil<\/a>. Acceuil bedeutet auf Deutsch \u201eEmpfang\u201c oder \u201eBegr\u00fc\u00dfung\u201c, und das trifft es ganz genau. Dieser gemeinn\u00fctzige Verein richtet sich an alle franz\u00f6sischen und frankophonen Neu-Ank\u00f6mmlinge in dieser Stadt mit einem Wahnsinns-Angebot, von Partys und Kennenlern-Caf\u00e9s bis hin zu Wanderungen, Sprach-Tandems und Business Coaching. Aber damit nicht genug, der Verein steht allen offen, die Interesse an der franz\u00f6sischen Kultur und franz\u00f6sischen Sprache haben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ich hatte das gro\u00dfe Vergn\u00fcgen mit der wunderbaren Caroline Billot von Francfort Acceuil zu sprechen. Caroline hat mich komplett damit begeistert, mit wie viel Einsatz und Herzblut sie und das Vereinsteam Frankreich nach Frankfurt holen. Und ich verspreche wirklich nicht zu viel: So viele Tipps f\u00fcr Kultur und Kulinarik gab es noch nie in einer Folge. Dabei setzt die Organisation sich besonders f\u00fcr die Belange von Neuank\u00f6mmlingen aus franz\u00f6sischsprachigen L\u00e4ndern in unserer Stadt ein. Etwa 150 Familien sind als Mitglieder registriert \u2013 eine gro\u00dfe und engagierte Gemeinschaft. Dabei sind alle Altersklassen vertreten, von jungen Berufsanf\u00e4nger*innen bis hin zu Rentner*innen, die n\u00e4her bei ihren Kindern und Enkel*innen in Frankfurt sein m\u00f6chten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Das Angebot von Francfort Accueil<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Der Verein bietet ein breit gef\u00e4chertes Angebot, von Informationsveranstaltungen bis zu Sport- und Kulturevents. So hilft <a href=\"https:\/\/www.francfortaccueil.de\/\">Francfort Accueil<\/a> dabei, soziale Netzwerke aufzubauen und f\u00f6rdert den interkulturellen Austausch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diese Veranstaltungen bietet Francfort Accueil regelm\u00e4\u00dfig an:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Einmal pro Monat gibt es die \u201eFridays\u201c, an denen auch nicht-Mitglieder teilnehmen k\u00f6nnen. Hier k\u00f6nnen Neuank\u00f6mmlinge in Frankfurt Fragen \u00fcber die ersten Schritte in der neuen Stadt stellen und mehr \u00fcber den Verein erfahren<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Frankfurter*innen aufgepasst! Ihr m\u00f6chtet Franz\u00f6sisch lernen und neue Freundschaften kn\u00fcpfen? Dann macht mit beim Sprach-Tandem-Programm. Hier werden dringend Deutsch-Muttersprachler*innen gesucht.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Au\u00dferdem gibt es Sport-Events, Wanderungen, kulturelle Aktivit\u00e4ten, einen Umwelt-Club und vieles mehr<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Zweimal im Jahr veranstaltet Francfort Accueil au\u00dferdem traditionelle franz\u00f6sische Events:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1) La f\u00eate du Beaujolais Nouveau<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>In der dritten Novemberwoche wird der junge Wein, der \u201ebeaujolais nouveau\u201c verk\u00f6stigt. Obwohl der Wein noch nicht so lecker ist \u2013 beziehungsweise gerade deshalb \u2013 zelebrieren die Mitglieder von Francfort Accueil den nicht-so-edlen Tropfen umso mehr. Dieses Jahr findet das Fest am Samstag, den 18. November im <a href=\"https:\/\/walden-frankfurt.com\/\">Walden<\/a> statt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2)<\/strong> <strong>La galette des rois<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Am 6. Januar, dem Drei-K\u00f6nigs-Tag, wird in Frankreich traditionell ein Mandelkuchen serviert, in dem ein kleines Spielzeug versteckt ist. Sobald der Kuchen in ausreichend viele Teile f\u00fcr die Anzahl der G\u00e4ste geschnitten ist, setzt sich die j\u00fcngste Person der Gruppe unter den Tisch und bestimmt reihum, wer das n\u00e4chste St\u00fcck bekommt. Wer dann das Spielzeug in seiner Portion findet, ist K\u00f6nig*in f\u00fcr den Tag und darf eine Krone aus Papier tragen. Dieses Jahr hat Francfort Accueil dieses Fest bei <a href=\"https:\/\/lamaisondupain.com\/frankfurt\">La Maison du Pain<\/a> in Sachsenhausen gefeiert. Wo die Feier 2024 stattfindet, wird rechtzeitig bekannt gegeben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Um die Community auf dem Laufenden zu halten, bietet Francfort Accueil einen w\u00f6chentlichen (!) Newsletter mit Hinweisen zu allen eigenen und externen Events \u00fcber Frankreich in Frankfurt an.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hilfe im Privatleben und im Beruf<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Der Verein bietet Neuank\u00f6mmlingen sowohl private als auch berufliche Hilfestellung. Gerade f\u00fcr diejenigen, die noch nicht so gut Deutsch sprechen oder noch nicht mit der deutschen B\u00fcrokratie vertraut sind, ist dies von unsch\u00e4tzbarem Wert. Als Beispiel f\u00fchrt Caroline ein Mitglied an, das Probleme bei der Kommunikation mit der Agentur f\u00fcr Arbeit hatte und bei <a href=\"https:\/\/www.francfortaccueil.de\/\">Francfort Accueil<\/a> Hilfe fand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au\u00dferdem gibt es einen Business Club, der bei Fragen rund um Beruf und Karriere unterst\u00fctzt. Gerade f\u00fcr Selbstst\u00e4ndige ist diese Option attraktiv. Um wieder mehr Kontakt zur franz\u00f6sischen Community aufzubauen, meldete sie sich als freiwillige Helferin und war begeistert von den M\u00f6glichkeiten, die ihr der Verein bot. Aufgrund ihres Marketing-Backgrounds ist die pr\u00e4destiniert, um sich um die Kommunikation und das Event-Management zu k\u00fcmmern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Caroline kam 2016 aus beruflichen Gr\u00fcnden nach Frankfurt. Eine enge Beziehung zu Deutschland hatte sie aber schon von Geburt an: Sie wurde in Hamburg geboren als Tochter franz\u00f6sischer Expats. Als sie sechs Jahre alt war, zog die Familie zur\u00fcck nach Frankreich, wo Caroline bis zu ihrem Schulabschluss blieb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sie selbst bezeichnet es als \u201eDrama ihres Lebens\u201c, dass sie immer wieder die deutsche Sprache verlernte und dann neu lernen musste. Dabei hat sie immer wieder f\u00fcr Kontaktpunkte gesorgt: Ihre erste Stelle f\u00fchrte sie nach D\u00fcsseldorf, sp\u00e4ter lebte sie im Rahmen eines dualen Studiums f\u00fcr einige Zeit in Wernigerode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Entscheidung f\u00fcr Frankfurt fiel ihr deshalb nicht schwer, weil die Stadt nicht weit von Frankreich weg ist und sie immer einfach nach Hause h\u00e4tte zur\u00fcckkehren k\u00f6nnen, wenn es ihr nicht gefiele. Dieser Fall ist bis heute nicht eingetreten. J Caroline findet, dass die Stadt vollkommen zu Unrecht einen schlechten Ruf hat. Sie genie\u00dft ganz besonders die Internationalit\u00e4t hier, die in ihren Augen sogar Paris schl\u00e4gt.&nbsp; F\u00fcr sie ist die Feststellung wichtig: \u201eIch lebe nicht in Deutschland, ich lebe in Frankfurt.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Frankreich in Frankfurt entdecken<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Zum Abschluss hat Caroline eine ganze Liste an Tipps im Gep\u00e4ck, um Frankreich in Frankfurt zu entdecken. Es freut sie sehr, dass die Kultur und das Essen ihres Herkunftslandes hier so beliebt sind. Wer kein Franz\u00f6sisch spricht, wird trotzdem f\u00fcndig. This is all the more true if the new city is in a different country. After all, you often don&#8217;t speak the language well at the beginning, you&#8217;re not yet familiar with the bureaucracy, you miss the culture of your country of origin and you don&#8217;t yet have any social connections. Even in a city as cosmopolitan as Frankfurt, it&#8217;s a real blessing to have a network to support you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s exactly what <a href=\"https:\/\/www.francfortaccueil.de\/\">Francfort Accueil<\/a> is all about. Acceuil means &#8222;reception&#8220; or &#8222;welcome&#8220;, and that&#8217;s exactly what this non-profit association does. It is aimed at all French and Francophone newcomers to the city with an amazing range of activities, from parties and get-to-know-you caf\u00e9s to hikes, language tandems and business coaching. But that&#8217;s not all, the association is open to anyone with an interest in French culture and the French language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I had the great pleasure of speaking with the wonderful Caroline Billot from Francfort Acceuil. Caroline\u2019s accounts of the dedication and passion that she and the association team put into bringing France to Frankfurt blew me away. And I\u2019m not exaggerating when I say that there have never been so many cultural and culinary tips in one episode. Although the wine is not yet so yummy \u2013 or perhaps precisely because of this \u2013 the members of Francfort Accueil celebrate the not-so-precious drink all the more. As soon as the cake has been cut into enough pieces for the number of guests, the youngest person in the group sits down under the table and decides in turn who gets the next piece. Whoever finds the toy in their slice is king or queen for the day and gets to wear a paper crown. This year, Francfort Accueil celebrated this party at <a href=\"https:\/\/lamaisondupain.com\/frankfurt\">La Maison du Pain<\/a> in Sachsenhausen. In order to reconnect with the French community, she signed up as a volunteer and was thrilled by the opportunities the association offered her. Due to her marketing background, she is predestined to take care of communication and event management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Caroline came to Frankfurt in 2016 for work reasons. However, she has had a close relationship with Germany since birth: She was born in Hamburg to French expats. When she was six years old, the family moved back to France, where Caroline stayed until she finished school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She herself describes it as the &#8222;drama of her life&#8220; that she repeatedly lost the German language and then had to learn it again. Her first job took her to D\u00fcsseldorf, later she lived in Wernigerode for a while as part of a dual study program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was not difficult for her to decide on Frankfurt because the city is not far from France and she could always simply return home if she didn&#8217;t like it. This has yet to happen. J &nbsp;Caroline believes that the city has a bad reputation, and quite wrongly so. She particularly enjoys the international flair here, which in her eyes beats even Paris.&nbsp; It is important for her to say: &#8222;I don&#8217;t live in Germany, I live in Frankfurt.&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Discover France in Frankfurt<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, Caroline has a whole list of tips for discovering France in Frankfurt. D\u00e8s que la galette est coup\u00e9e en nombre suffisant pour le nombre de convives, le plus jeune du groupe s&#8217;assoit sous la table et d\u00e9cide \u00e0 tour de r\u00f4le qui aura la part suivante. Celui qui trouve le jouet dans sa part est le roi ou la reine de la journ\u00e9e et porte une couronne en papier. Afin de renouer avec la communaut\u00e9 fran\u00e7aise, elle s&#8217;est inscrite comme b\u00e9n\u00e9vole et a \u00e9t\u00e9 enthousiasm\u00e9e par les opportunit\u00e9s que l&#8217;association lui offrait. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa formation en marketing, elle est pr\u00e9destin\u00e9e \u00e0 s&#8217;occuper de la communication et de l&#8217;organisation d&#8217;\u00e9v\u00e9nements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Caroline est venue \u00e0 Francfort en 2016 pour des raisons professionnelles. Cependant, elle entretient une relation \u00e9troite avec l&#8217;Allemagne depuis sa naissance : Elle est n\u00e9e \u00e0 Hambourg dans une famille d&#8217;expatri\u00e9s fran\u00e7ais. \u00c0 l&#8217;\u00e2ge de six ans, la famille est retourn\u00e9e en France, o\u00f9 Caroline est rest\u00e9e jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 la fin de sa scolarit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elle qualifie elle-m\u00eame de &#8222;drame de sa vie&#8220; le fait d&#8217;avoir perdu la langue allemande \u00e0 plusieurs reprises et d&#8217;avoir d\u00fb la r\u00e9apprendre. Son premier emploi l&#8217;a amen\u00e9e \u00e0 D\u00fcsseldorf, puis elle a v\u00e9cu quelque temps \u00e0 Wernigerode dans le cadre d&#8217;un programme d&#8217;\u00e9tudes en alternance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il ne lui a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 difficile de se d\u00e9cider pour Francfort, car la ville n&#8217;est pas loin de la France et elle pouvait toujours retourner chez elle si elle ne s&#8217;y plaisait pas. Cela ne s&#8217;est pas encore produit. J Caroline pense que la ville a une mauvaise r\u00e9putation, et ce \u00e0 tort. Elle appr\u00e9cie particuli\u00e8rement l&#8217;ambiance internationale qui y r\u00e8gne et qui, \u00e0 ses yeux, surpasse m\u00eame Paris.&nbsp; Il est important pour elle de dire : &#8222;Je ne vis pas en Allemagne, je vis \u00e0 Francfort&#8220;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>D\u00e9couvrir la France \u00e0 Francfort<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Enfin, Caroline a toute une liste de conseils pour d\u00e9couvrir la France \u00e0 Francfort. Elle se r\u00e9jouit que la culture et la cuisine de son pays d&#8217;origine soient si populaires ici.
