Heute reisen wir in ein englischsprachiges Land, mit dem Frankfurt eine ganz besonders enge Verbindung hat: die Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika. Uns verbindet seit \u00fcber 200 Jahren eine florierende Handelsbeziehung. Und nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg brachten die zeitweise 23.000 hier stationierten GIs \u201eihre\u201c Musik, Essen und Sportarten mit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mein Gast heute ist allerdings in einem ganz anderen Feld unterwegs ist. Er ist ein wunderbarer K\u00fcnstler, genauer gesagt Maler. Eigentlich ist er aber Lebensk\u00fcnstler. Denn er hat eine enorm abwechslungsreiche Lebensgeschichte und eine Art, mit Leichtigkeit und Kreativit\u00e4t durch die Welt zu gehen, dass es einfach Freude macht. Sein Name ist Geoffrey Carter<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Geoffrey und ich haben uns in seiner Wohnung am Tag nach dem NFL Spiel der Kansas City Chiefs letzten November getroffen. Der Anlass f\u00fcr unser Gespr\u00e4ch war seine n\u00e4chste Ausstellung. Die l\u00e4uft vom 22. bis zum 28. And: Happy New Year! Today we are traveling to an English-speaking country with which Frankfurt has a particularly close connection: the United States of America. We have enjoyed a flourishing trade relationship for over 200 years. And after the Second World War, the 23,000 GIs stationed here at times brought „their“ music, food and sports with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n My guest today, however, is active in a completely different field. He is a wonderful artist, a painter to be precise. But he is actually an artist of life. Because he has an enormously varied life story and a way of going through the world with ease and creativity that is simply a joy. His name is Geoffrey Carter<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Geoffrey and I met in his apartment the day after the Kansas City Chiefs‘ NFL game last November. The reason for our conversation was his next exhibition.
