Gude und Hola! Herzlich willkommen zu dieser Folge von Global Village 069 – Die Welt zu Hause in Frankfurt.
Dieses Mal geht unsere Weltreise in Frankfurt in eines der schönsten Länder, die ich je bereisen durfte: Peru. Die Landschaft, die Kultur, das Essen und vor allem die Herzlichkeit und Lebensfreude der Menschen dort haben mich komplett verzaubert, als ich 2018 dort war. Und ich freue mich sehr, für diese Folge einen Gast am Mikrofon zu haben, der vor Lebensfreude und vor Kreativität nur so sprüht. Sein Name: Carlos Palacios.
Carlos‘ Leben ist voll und ganz von Musik durchdrungen. Seine erste Liebe gilt dem Hardcore Punk. Seit fast 30 Jahren betreibt er das Label „Entes Anomicos“ und arbeitet mit Künstler:innen vor allem in Lateinamerika zusammen. Carlos ist aber auch als Salsa DJ in RheinMain aktiv, sowohl solo als auch mit dem Kollektiv Frankfurt Allstars.
Wir sprechen darüber, wie er zum Hardcore Punk kam, was eine Wall of Death ist, und wie Hardcore Punk und Salsa zusammenpassen. Carlos berichtet außerdem, wie er es schafft, einen so hohen künstlerischen Output zu haben und warum es zu seiner Philosophie gehört, ohne Erwartungen durchs Leben zu gehen. Und natürlich geht es darum, wo wir alle Peru in Frankfurt entdecken können, sei es zum Essen auf dem Teller oder bei einer von Carlos‘ Salsa Partys.

Gude and Hola! Welcome to this episode of Global Village 069 – The world at home in Frankfurt.
This time, our world tour through Frankfurt takes us to one of the most beautiful countries I have ever had the pleasure to visit: Peru. The landscape, the culture, the food, and especially the warmth and joy of life of the people there completely enchanted me when I visited in 2018. So, I’m very excited to have a guest at the microphone for this episode who radiates joy and creativity. His name: Carlos Palacios.
Carlos’ life is entirely infused with music. His first love is hardcore punk. For almost 30 years, he has run the label Entes Anomicos, working with artists mainly in Latin America. Carlos is also active in the Rhine-Main region as a salsa DJ, both solo and with the collective Frankfurt Allstars.
We talk about how he got into hardcore punk, what a Wall of Death is, and the surprising connection between hardcore punk and salsa. Carlos also shares how he manages to maintain such a high artistic output and why it is part of his philosophy to go through life without expectations. And of course, we talk about where all of us can discover Peru in Frankfurt—whether on a plate at a local restaurant or at one of Carlos‘ salsa parties.

Esta vez, nuestro viaje alrededor del mundo en Fráncfort nos lleva a uno de los países más hermosos que he tenido la suerte de visitar: Perú. Su paisaje, su cultura, su gastronomía y, sobre todo, la calidez y la alegría de vivir de su gente me maravillaron por completo cuando estuve allí en 2018. Y me alegra muchísimo tener en este episodio a un invitado frente al micrófono que destila pura energía y creatividad. Su nombre: Carlos Palacios.
La vida de Carlos está completamente atravesada por la música. Su primer amor es el hardcore punk. Desde hace casi 30 años dirige el sello Entes Anómicos y trabaja con artistas principalmente en Latinoamérica. Carlos también está activo como DJ de salsa en la región Rin-Meno, tanto en solitario como con el colectivo Frankfurt Allstars.
Hablamos de cómo llegó al hardcore punk, qué es una wall of death, y cómo pueden encajar el hardcore punk y la salsa. Carlos también cuenta cómo consigue mantener un nivel tan alto de producción artística y por qué forma parte de su filosofía vivir sin expectativas.
